A message from Mike
Meet District Attorney Michael R. Holley
The District Attorney’s Office makes decisions that can change lives. You deserve to know who is making those decisions, what experience they bring, and what principles guide them.
I have served as an Army officer, prosecutor, defense attorney, law professor, and trial lawyer. Here in Montgomery County, I served under Brett Ligon as First Assistant District Attorney before becoming your District Attorney. Those experiences shape how I lead: prepare thoroughly, listen carefully, follow the evidence, and have the courage to do what is right

The Plan
Focused on the Work That Matters
Michael Holley's commitments guide every decision made in the District Attorney’s office.
01
Tough On Crime
Serious crimes and repeat offenders demand serious consequences. I am committed to protecting our community from people who use violence, exploit the vulnerable, and repeatedly choose to harm others.
02
Community Trust
Trust is earned through honest work and consistent standards. I expect our office to be prepared, to work closely with law enforcement, and to treat victims with care and respect. Political influence has no place in a prosecution decision.
03
Fair Justice
Our duty is to seek justice. That means holding the guilty accountable and clearing the innocent. Every case deserves an honest assessment of the evidence, and every person deserves equal treatment under the law.
