I am grateful for the people who place their confidence in me. An endorsement is a statement that you trust my judgment, my experience, and my commitment to Montgomery County. I take that trust seriously.
If you believe in an office that protects the public, treats victims with care, clears the innocent, and holds the guilty accountable, I would be honored to have your support.
My Approach to Endorsing Other Candidates
As a general practice, I do not endorse Republican candidates in contested races against other Republicans. I respect the voters’ responsibility to hear from the candidates, weigh their qualifications, and make their own choice.
The District Attorney must also work effectively with the people voters elect. Those relationships matter to public safety, and I want them grounded in the work we share and the people we serve. My general practice helps preserve those relationships and keeps my attention on the responsibilities you have entrusted to me.
I am proud to be a Republican. I also recognize the particular responsibility of this office to earn confidence in its independence and fairness. My decision to stay out of a contested Republican race should not be read as criticism of any candidate or as a lack of respect for the people supporting them.
Support Carries No Special Privilege
An endorsement, a campaign contribution, or volunteer service will never entitle anyone to preferential treatment from the District Attorney’s Office. Nor will supporting someone else count against anyone. Our decisions must rest on the law and the evidence.
